I accidentally stumbled upon this video and it was like striking gold. I have always been curious about these murder cases and often thought it would be interesting to visit London but I doubt I will ever be able to afford to go there. So this is probably the closest I will ever get to being there. I found this video to be not only fact filled and interesting, but it shows exactly where these crimes happened and she was able to give me so many trivia and tidbits of information that I might have never known otherwise. Rev. John Harvard was baptized at St. Saviour’s in 1607 when his father, Thomas, was warden and then later governor of the church. Thomas died in the plague of 1625. John studied at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He then migrated to Massachusetts Bay Colony 1637 but died of TB the next year. He bequeathed his library and £20,000 on his will to establish a new “Colledge” which had been planned in 1636. In honor, the town in which the college sits, up the River Charles, Cambridge, was named for his alma mater. The famous bronze statue of Harvard, which originally was placed in front of Memorial Hall in 1884 by Daniel Chester French, was modeled after the “most handsome student” at the college whose name I think was Hoar who then was killed in the Dpznish-American War. The Harvard chapel’s stained glass was created by John LaFarge, a great stained glass innovator and artist who also has many stained glass windows in Memorial Hall at Harvard. Harvard’s mother, Kathleen, ran the Queen’s Head pub in Southwark. The recently-closed student pub in the basement of Memorial Hall was named “The Queen’s Head” as a homage to her.

The song one can hear partway through the tour of the Cathedral of Westminster is Gustav Holst’s “Venus -Bringer of Peace” from his Planets symphony. One of the most tranquil and beautiful pieces of music composed by mortal man. The second movement of his “Jupiter-Bringer of Jollity” later was reworked by Holst at the time of WWI to become “A Vow to Thee Thy Country”.

In the mid-late nineties I lived just over the borough in the City of London, close to Old Street and abutting Whitechapel. Your tour took me on an amazing trip to areas I vaguely knew (and some I was too scared even in daylight to wander far into!) This is the most amazing tour Sinead! I thank you so much for your research, passion and dedication. You evoke not just the area, the suspects and most importantly the victims, but it is your scene-setting and social and historical commentary that is beyond par. My My Pudding and Pie, London Burns and None Know Why....

We are coming for the first time to London, after 6 times Paris in the last 5 years. I’m in a wheelchair, so I want to know as much as I can, before we arrive in August. And your video’s are a great help, because we want to do a lot of things in the 4 days that we are there. We are staying in The Westminster London, Curio Collection by Hilton. Thank You for going thru the crowds for us. Cities are great. But I try to stay out of the crowded areas. My wife & I always loved visiting and seeing the sites in London. We’ve been to so many castles & churches/catherdrals. Different than here in Colorado. Both of our familes were from England. 👍👍👍

I just visited the Cemetary and his grave i had beautiful weather and the Cemetary alone is wirth a visit lots of famous people there and it just looks amazing,i do wonder why George and his family arent i the the private section. But i was happy to see there werent hundreds of fans flocking around. Im happy i visited and payed my respects .and the tragidy is just mindblowing i hope they are at peace now i will always love George😢😢❤

What a fantastic cemetery, thank you so much for bringing the dead to life, and the most wonderful head stones, so elaborate and so much written about their life and death. I too love to visit old cemeterys as far back as I can remember here in Ireland. Thank you for your hard work and dedacation.
